Hey there guys and gals,

I’m extremely excited to announce that July is now set to be the true Maps comeback!!

We’ve just added a lot of new dates to MySpace and there’s more to come!!

Myself and August have been working solidly in the Maps Lab to make the live set something really special. August is a genius. Believe me these shows will be a BLAST!!

So we’re starting off with the M83 ones (fantastic band) and then doing a fare few of our own dates. Also on to Latitiude on July 18th – can’t wait for that one!!

We’ll be playing EXCLUSIVE unheard tracks from the new album and it’s gonna be a full on party.

Really hope you can make it down to a show!! We’ll be ready and waitin for ya!!

Hey folks,

As promised, here’s another taster from the upcoming album Turning The Mind (out Sept 28th).

This song is about losing the true love of your life, and then having to settle for the next best thing, because, I guess sometimes you just have to. And it can be a really painful experience in the long term.

But there’s a theme of hope here too I guess. Everything Is Shattering can be taken to mean different things (feel free to comment on what you get from listening to it!!), it can either mean ‘shattering’ as in ‘everything is falling apart’, OR it can mean, although life IS shitty a lot of the time, it can also be shatteringly beautiful some of the time :). Even if only for brief moments.

Just to let you know that the 3rd installment in Maps’ ‘The Rules Of Baseball’ series is coming VERY SOOOON!!!!

And, without a shadow of a doubt, it is the best one yet! I reckon anyway. You’ll probably disagree now I’ve bigged it up so much :).

The theme is SUMMER, and all things to do with this glorious season.
